What is it called? Amazon Kindle app
What is it? It is a multi-platform application that allows you to read books and documents in your Amazon Kindle account.
How much does it cost? Free
How do I find it?
How does it work?
You probably have heard of the Amazon Kindle, which is an eBook hardware device made by Amazon. There are various versions of the device and all of them allow you to purchase and read eBooks through Amazon. You can also borrow eBooks from your local library in many cases.
Now to purchase, borrow or read books you need an Amazon account. This allows Amazon to keep track of all your books and ensure that those books are on your device.
But there's so much more!!!
EVEN IF you do not have a Kindle hardware device (Paperwhite tablet, Voyage tablet, etc), you can download the free Amazon Kindle app onto ANY PLATFORM, and read all your books through that app. There's an Amazon Kindle app for Windows laptops, Apple laptops, iOS devices, Android devices and more.
But there's even more!
Not only can you read eBooks in the Amazon Kindle app, you can read documents (like the Reference Material or the Rule Book or the Yearly Schedule!).
Follow these two links below to learn how to get these documents to your Amazon Kindle app.
The reason I keep some bible quizzing documents in the Amazon Kindle app is because once I've downloaded the documents to whatever device the app is on, I can always access these documents through the Amazon Kindle app, even if I do not have a cellular or wifi data connection. And since not all churches have wifi, you don't want to be stuck relying on a cloud service (like Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, Box, etc).
This description was a bit involved, but the Amazon Kindle app is a well-made, free app that allows you to easily read eBooks and documents on many of your electronic devices.
